QR code function

Since Calenso version 4.14.0 it is possible to activate the QR code function. This article describes what the function is and how it works.

What is the QR code function?

With the QR code function, a QR code is generated for each appointment or group appointment booking. The QR code is sent to the customer in the confirmation message (email).

The QR code can act as an admission or ticket for an event.

Example 1:

In Corona time, a club is only allowed to admit 100 people in an evening. The people must all register in advance via Calenso. Upon entry, each customer shows the QR code on the appointment confirmation page. Club security scans the code and makes sure the name on the appointment confirmation page matches the customer's ID. After verification, the customer is allowed into the club.

Example 2:

Stores are only allowed to let a limited number of people into the store during a specific time slot during Corona hours. Each customer books a time slot for shopping and shows the QR code to the entrance control before entering the store. The entrance control scans the QR code, verifies the personal data and lets the customer into the store. In this way, it is also possible to subsequently prove which customer was in the store during which time slot.

How do I activate the QR code function?

Navigate to hhttps://dashboard.calenso.com/app/settings/widget > Booking widget -> General. There you will find a toggle with the name "Activate QR code function". Once the toggle is activated, the function is enabled.

How do I test the QR code function?

• Make sure that the QR code function is activated.
• Book an appointment via the booking widget.
• Check your mailbox, the QR code should now be displayed there:
