All data stored in Calenso is backed up every six hours and stored on three different servers. If the main server fails, the data is still stored securely on two other servers.
The main server is hosted by Nine Internet Solutions AG in Zurich.
The backup servers are physically separated at different locations.
One server is located at Hostpoint AG in Rappeswil-Jona, another in Basel at Cyon GmbH.
Backups are written to external data carriers that are not connected to the Internet at regular intervals.
If the server were to stop working for any reason, Calenso would be up and running on an alternative server within a few hours with up-to-date data.
