Set different availabilities for services

In this article we would like to discuss how to set different availabilities for services that a person offers.

As an example: Katharina Demo is responsible for support in our Hamburg branch. She offers phone appointments and online video meetings and is available on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Now she would like to offer only the phone appointments on Saturday.



Directly you can't set the availabilities for a service but with a work around with a second resource this is possible in three simple steps. 




  1. Go to Settings -> Resources/Employees and create a new resource with the same name as the original resource. Connect to the resource the service which should have separate availabilities. Important: The e-mail address can be used only once. If the notifications are sent to the booked resource, this should be adjusted under Settings -> Notifications.

  2. Now go to the newly created resource on the "..." -> "Edit resource" and set the desired availabilities for the services. In our case now the Saturday.
  3. Now go to the original resource and edit it. Remove the superfluous availabilities from the availabilities.


Now customers can book both services on Wednesday and Thursday and only the phone appointment on Saturday. Customers will not notice any difference. 



If necessary, you can add the profile picture to the new resource and the meeting providers and external calendars.
