In Germany, VAT of 16% and 5% on services has been applicable since 1 July 2020. This means that you can no longer choose the VAT rates of 19% or 7% for your services. Calenso has already made the change, so for all services with a previous VAT rate of 19%, the new rate is 16% and 7% has been replaced by 5%.
THE PRICE OF THE SERVICE HAS NOT CHANGED!
Now you have two options:
1. you leave your prices at the original price (as with 19% and 7%), with only 16% and 5% being shown as VAT respectively
2. if you want to reduce your prices by reducing VAT, then adjust the price in your services and group appointments. To do this, go to the settings of the services, click on the three dots in the top corner of the service and click on "Edit".
Now you adjust the price in the service.
Click on "Save". Repeat this step for all your services and group appointments.
